When you’re a passionate animal lover it’s only natural you want to do everything you can to help animals at risk. But it can be frustrating when you can’t do as much as you’d like to. Like you, we believe every animal deserves to be loved and cared for – and when you want to make a difference it shouldn’t feel difficult to achieve.
Your support enables local animals to get the care they desperately need
Every member of the team at RSPCA Canterbury and District, is a passionate animal lover, just like you. An independent charity in our own right, we help animals in need across East Kent from Isle of Sheppey to Dover. Your support helps our rehoming centre to provide a much-needed haven for rescued animals that arrive on our doorstep in dire straits 24/7. We can only offer shelter to cats and rabbits right now, but with your support, we could help other animals in your community also in need.

While we carry the distinguished name of the RSPCA the focus of the national charity is very different from ours. Their focus is on rescuing animals, while your local RSPCA Canterbury and District charity takes care of recovery, rehabilitation and rehoming. Together, with your support, we give every animal in your community the opportunity for the loving home they deserve.

Ella (black and white) and Biggles (tabby) are a delightful duo ready for rehoming together.
They are friendly and loving but their little worlds have been turned upside down when they had to come into care through no fault of their own.
They are finding the cattery a bit scary and Ella is finding things a bit stressful so her fur isn’t quite as sleek as it was but this can be restored in a happy home.
You can see how stressed Biggles is in the cattery photo compared to when he has his home comforts. We expect they would settle into a home very quickly.
They could live together in a house with sensible older children but preferably no other cats.

A VIP trip to Windsor today! Our Animal Welfare Officer Lin and Super Fosterer Angela delivered Tinkerbelle to her new home after almost 500 DAYS waiting!!

We have just done a stock check and we have just over two weeks worth of wet cat food left in our stores….and a full cattery.

We are also really low on cat litter for our unwell cats. We are having to change their litter multiple times a day to control infection but my goodness we are going through it!
